1. First, log in to your cPanel.
  2. Click File Manager.
  3. Choose the directory that you want to create the file in by clicking on the file icon.
  4. Click "Create new file".
  5. In the top right corner in the text box type .htaccess and in the drop-down box select text file and click create.
