According to the ICANN policy, the registered domain name holders are able to change their domain name registrations.

For example, if you are using GoDaddy right now, you can totally switch to any other domain name registrants.

This policy is applicable to all ICANN-accredited registrars.

But, you have to wait for at least 2 months to initiate the transfer.

If you try to change it before 60 days, your registrar may deny a transfer request.

So, if you want to transfer your domain name, wait for at least 60 days to move your domain without any hassles.
