There can be many reasons for domain name forwarding or redirecting.

You might have a domain with a good amount of traffic and you want to route all traffic from one website to another.

For example, your domain name example.com is performing better than example.net. In that case, you need to redirect a website or specific pages. Well, all this can be done easily using your cPanel. The other alternative is editing your .htaccess file directory if you want to do it by custom code.

The cPanel method is easier and doesn’t require any technical skills like coding. To redirect your domain, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your cPanel.
  2. Scroll the domain section and click on “Redirects”.
  3. The Add redirect screen will be shown in front of you, where you can create permanent 301 redirects.
  4. In the next screen, choose the domain you want to forward.
  5. Add the domain name you want the traffic redirected to.
  6. Choose the redirection type from the 3 given radio buttons.
  7. Check wild card redirects if you want.
  8. Click Add. That’s it

Well, you now know how to use cPanel to redirect or forward a domain.
